Ms. Patterson’s 7th grade Social Studies students are using web-based Jr. Scholastic Magazine resources at election.scholastic.com. Students are learning about the election process, important vocabulary words, previous elections, the candidates, and making predictions for this year. They will also play The Electoral College game to see who can get to 270 first. On November 8 during social studies class, students will participate in a school-wide mock election with ballots and booths. The school’s three candidates for Student Council President will also be on the ballot.
